New Mexico

We were able to drive down to Farmington, New Mexico and go to one of the McDaniel family reunions! Along the way, we stopped and hiked to the "Delicate Arch" in Moab, and also got to see the Native American ruins in Mesa Verde. I still have a bunch of pictures I am going to post of the McDaniel family, so stay tuned.

Capener Family Reunion!

Back in June I was lucky enough to attend one of the Capener family reunions! These only happen every 5-10 yrs or so, so I considered myself pretty lucky! he. Anyways, it was great to see all of my cousins & family and for Gabe to meet some of her long lost kin! We were able to celebrate Oma's birthday and meet Bobby's (Cape) new fiance, Mary Mac! They make a beautiful couple and seem perfect for one another! I wish we could be here for their wedding. We also bar-b-qued at a friend's house and enjoyed their beautiful backyard and home.

Real Quick.

Hey guys, I just thought I would let you know that I have started a photography blog, in case anyone wants to check it out. It isn't anything too fancy, but it's something, I guess. he. (I have put a link on my blog.)

One of my favorites.

I finally got around to working on some pictures from our trip to Utah, back in May. We stopped in New York for a day and went to one of the museum's there. I absolutely love this picture and thought I would post it just for fun. It is of real butterflies on a wall, and I just love the pathway of their flight.

Just because I love him...

I just love this picture of Ren. I took this when we were still dating and everytime I look at it I want to kiss him. I miss the boy, but tomorrow he is done with the MPH degree and coming to Utah on July 15th!! YAHOO!!

The Gateway!

We went up to the Gateway today with Brittany and Ethan Hill! Gabe and Ethan got to play in the Discovery Center and run around like crazy. The Helicopter was pretty cool, and the kids even got to wear these little vests that represented different workers. It was cute. Afterwards, we went over to where the kids play in the water. It took Gabe and Ethan a while to even walk near the shooting sprays. I took this last picture right before some water shot up and made them run like crazy the other way!

Timpanogos Cave Hike!

We put on our hiking shoes, and got our backpacks and made the three hour hiking trip up to the Timp Cave and back. It was really fun to make that hike again. It has been a while since I last did it. My Dad and I used to hike up to the cave in the mornings when I was in high school. We went with Summer, Wyatt and cousin Finn. Inside the cave we saw lots of Stalactamites and Stalactalites,...(I think that's how you spell those?) Anyways, it was a lot of fun and a good workout!

Boating on Utah Lake!

We had the chance to go boating on Utah Lake a little bit ago! It was the first time that Gabe has been on a boat and I think she enjoyed it! Not so much the tube, though. (She pretty much just laid her head back most of the time). The last picture on here is pretty typical of Gabe whenever she is in a swimsuit,....there always seems to be a little melvin. he.

Crackle and Pop!

I hope you all had a good 4th of July! We had a fun time setting off fireworks, hitting a pinata and eating my dad's delicious steaks! It was a good day, all in all (although, the kids had their hands over their ears the entire time during the fireworks). Justin and Mike, also had a fun time jumping and waving their sparklers! Happy 4th of July!!
