Grenada's Indepedance Day!

This is the Cricket Stadium that is in Grenada. It has to be the largest building on the island!

These are the women in the guard.

They definitely like to represent. And, sometimes it is picture worthy.

Inspecting the guards.

This was my favorite part of the entire shabang! This guy in the band just started breakdancing!!

These were the boy & girl scouts. They had a specific march and swung their arms very high.

On Feb. 7th, we decided to be a part of the festivities for Grenada's 35th Independance Day! We took a bus to the cricket stadium in downtown St. George's and enjoyed watching the guards march around. We also got to hear the prime minister give a speech and see the boy & girl scouts take part in the celebration. My very favorite part, was when the band played and walked around. All of a sudden, there is this guy who steps out and starts pulling Michael Jackson moves! It was great!! Probably the most entertaining part of the day. ha! It was also fun to see the different outfits the Grenadians would come up with. Most of them are handmade and they can be pretty interesting!
